Hey All,

I'm Scotty and I own www.FordFiestaST.co.uk+.com. I am driving down to Italy in July-August 2010 in my Focus RS. I need to know if I am able to get 97+ron fuel (Super Unleaded) easily? Are there many Shell /BP Petrol stations, how can I find out the locations of these?

I can only fill my car up with 97+ Ron fuel so it's important I make sure I know where the petrol stations are along the route as I only get 20mpg at the best of time.

I hope you guys can help.

There are many petrol stations that sell 97+ fuel .. (AGIP, ESSO, and more...)
Find them easily through the signs exhibited!
In my area (calabria) there are not petrol stations BP and Shell...
where will you go in Italy?

Thank You very much guys. I shall be driving from Midlands (UK) then on the Eurotunnel and through Stuttgart (Germany) to Davos (Switzerland) to Venice then Rome then Bari to get a Ferry to Greece and go down to Athens and Kefalonia. What would be advice you guys could give me for it all? Baring in mind a whole tank of petrol gets me 250miles before I have to re-fuel the beast that is my hungry RS. How bad is driving in Italy+Greece etc?

In Italy the roads are not very good .. They are full of potholes and bumps but we have some breathtaking scenery.
You'll need set the throttle, the RS really consumes a lot of fuel!
Anyway .. Good adventure!

get0z you are dead right... the RS consumes a hell of a lot of fuel. It is 100% worth it though

I'm sure others on here can give me advise on driving in Italy?

Italian Highways are the best in europe (and the first built in the world), I've traveled and driven a lot in europe and in US so I know what I'm talking about.
You will take one of the best route from Venice towards Bari, plenty of fuel stations and Autogrills, where you can buy cheap but neat food.
I travel a lot from Venice to Bari, it's near 900 km U will need from 7 to 9 hours at 130 km/h, ask us for further info,
